We are seeking a passionate and driven Work Health & Safety (WHS) Officer to help ensure our parks continue to operate at the highest safety standards across the country.As a key member of our Risk & Compliance team, you will lead the charge in promoting a proactive health and safety culture across our organisation. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with WHS legislation, supporting ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, and driving continuous improvement in safety and wellness across our accredited parks.Key ResponsibilitiesManage our Hazard & Incident Management System (HIMS) and follow up with park teams on reports and actions.Support incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.Assist staff and management in implementing and complying with WHS and wellness programs.Review and improve WHS documentation—risk registers, policies, procedures, and more.Conduct WHS audits and make data-driven recommendations to enhance safety systems.Assist in workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs when needed.Provide training, advice, and hands-on support across all levels of the business.Maintain up-to-date WHS records, reports, and intranet resources.Stay informed and compliant with WHS legislation and best practices.Who You'll Work WithYou'll collaborate closely with our Risk & Compliance Manager, People & Culture Team, Park Managers, and Regional Managers across our extensive network.What You'll BringA strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train, guide, and influence.A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk reduction.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel intrastate and interstate (including remote and regional locations).First aid qualification (required).Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (desirable).BenefitsHealth and Wellbeing – Flexible and hybrid working arrangements / Employee Assistance Program / Discounted private health cover / BeWell Training Program / Weekly yoga and walking group / Free annual flu vaccinationsPaid Leave Benefits – Parental leave / Volunteer leave / Study leaveProfessional Development – Leadership programs / Support of external training courses / Reimbursement of professional association membershipsEmployee Savings – Discounted accommodation and experience rates / Salary packaging / Discovery partner discounts/ Free G’day Rewards membership / Loyalty recognition benefitsOur ESG statementThe G’day Group acknowledges the increasing global expectation to demonstrate our approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risk factors and sustainability in our daily operations and ongoing decision making.
