National Safety Products
is South Australia's leading manufacturer of road, traffic and safety signage. We are responsible for supplying all local councils, civil construction, Department for Transport, traffic management and mining companies with manufactured signage. We are a total solutions manufacturer with a quality first mantra.
Due to aggressive expansion and growth, we are looking for a new full-time Signwriter / Converter to fit within our manufacturing team, centrally located in Thebarton, SA. You will work closely with and report directly to the leadership team.
Ideally, the candidate would have worked within the Traffic Sign Manufacturing Industry, UV Printing, CNC Routing Machinery and General Sign Manufacture industries.
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Signwriter to join our team. You will be responsible for producing, preparing, and fabricating a variety of signs, ensuring all work meets our high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, producing, and potentially installing signage (vinyl, digital prints, Class 1 reflective)
* A willingness to operate signwriting machinery such as printers and laminators
* Preparing surfaces and applying vinyl graphics to aluminium, coreflute, ACP and other substrates
* Working on-site to install signage safely and efficiently
* Maintaining equipment and ensuring a tidy, safe workspace
* Collaborating with clients and team members to bring creative ideas to life
About You:
* Experience as a Signwriter or in a similar role (apprentices considered)
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
* Competent or a willingness to learn software tools such as Adobe Illustrator / CorelDRAW
* Strong technical and assembly skills for making items (this is a hands-on role)
* Operational knowledge of Traffic Sign Printing, Laminating, CNC Routing, Sign Manufacture
* Understands or has skills with artwork layouts and product design for proofing and production
* Comfortable working with power tools
* A current driver's licence (manual preferred)
* Reliable, proactive, and a team player
