Small family printing business in Minto requires a Casual Printing Machinist to run our Heidelburg 2 colour GTO 52 machine and to assist in Print Finishing when required.

PRINTING EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL.
EXPERIENCE IN PRINT FINISHING AN ADVANTAGE.
The successful candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:
* Read and understand the work ticket and ensure the correct stock and inks are used.
* Make ready the press, set up, mount plates and mix inks.
* Determine the best sequence of colours and monitor colours for consistency, density and keep registration throughout the job run.
* Inspect plates for any defects and maintain overall production and quality of print run.
* Make minor adjustments when necessary, including replacing rollers and adjusting pressure between them.
* Prepare materials for upcoming jobs.
* Keep work area and machine clean.
* Assist with Print Finishing when required. This includes slitting and re-rolling, guillotining, die-cutting and packing.
