The Role
Ventia is looking to engage a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team with the Department of Transport contract located in Fremantle Harbour. This full‐time position will involve reactive and preventative maintenance tasks in and around the harbour, including lighting, power, navigational aids, vessel power outlets, and testing & tagging.
While primarily based at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, the role requires travel across the metropolitan area from Mandurah to Lancelin and occasional trips to remote WA locations. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working outdoors and the sea breeze.
We seek a hard‐working, self‐managed, safety‐focused individual ready for their next challenge. The role is full‐time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 07:00 am‐03:30 pm with one RDO per month.
The pay rate is $48.72 per hour plus overtime opportunities.
Experience
* Hold a WA A grade licence
* Hold an EWP & working at heights ticket
* Have experience in a maintenance electrical role
* Feel confident working on and around water
* Have fault finding experience
* Holding a coxswain ticket will be highly regarded
Key Duties (but not limited to)
* Responsible for completing electrical maintenance and repair work on marine structures
* Ensure inspection records are completed and maintained for required tasks
* Liaising with supervisors, client and public
* Maintaining stock levels
