This is a challenging opportunity to assume a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of personnel and assets within a dynamic work environment.
As HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting health, safety, and environmental systems, processes, and procedures across multiple project sites.
You will work closely with site personnel, management, and key stakeholders to monitor and support all health, safety, and environmental functions, ensuring the safe delivery of contracts.
The position requires regular travel to site locations, including scheduled visits and providing on-site cover and support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, site safety systems, and project procedures.
* Perform routine safety inspections, hazard observations, and risk assessments.
* Lead or support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
* Undertake internal HSE audits and attend client HSE meetings.
* Prepare, maintain, and communicate HSE reports, records, and project documentation.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of project-specific HSE procedures, work instructions, and internal communication tools.
* Liaise with clients, auditors, inspectors, and other stakeholders to support HSE outcomes.
Technical Skills & Experience:
* Proficient in Myosh (advanced configuration and workflow design experience highly regarded).
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation standards and compliance requirements.
* Experience in incident investigation, corrective action development, and risk management.
* Proficiency in developing HSE Management systems, including facilitation of internal HSE training.
* Competence in HSE auditing, reporting, document control, and data analysis.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders on safety matters.
What You Will Bring:
* Formal HSEQ qualifications (minimum Cert IV in OHS).
* Previous experience in a HSEQ role.
* Experience in high-risk industries such as mining, civil construction, or transport is highly desirable.
* Exposure to safety culture initiatives or continuous improvement programs is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with site teams, Project Managers, and senior leadership.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in data.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
