Finishing Foreman – Gold Coast Queensland

Overview
Platform Constructions is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join their team on a multi-use high-rise project in Gold Coast Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading main contractor builder overseeing the finishing stages of a significant high-rise development. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing on-site finishing trades ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. We are looking for someone that has worked for tier 1 or tier 2 size projects in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise finishing trades personnel on site to ensure timely and high-quality completion of all finishing works.
* Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
* Monitor workmanship standards and ensure compliance with all project specifications and safety regulations.
* Manage daily work schedules, allocate resources, and maintain productivity across all finishing activities.
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify defects or potential delays.
* Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders to report progress and elevate matters as needed.
* Ensure all finishing works meet the client's expectations and contract requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in finishing works on high-rise or multi-use building projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction finishing trades including fit‐out, painting, flooring, glazing, and joinery.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate site teams.
* Sound understanding of construction health and safety standards and practices.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
* Strong communication, problem‐solving, and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast‐paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working for a main contractor on high‐rise multi‐use developments.
* Certifications relevant to construction supervision or project management.
* Familiarity with site safety management systems and quality assurance procedures.
