We are Baudins Restaurant, a historic and creative fusion restaurant located on the picturesque King Island, Tasmania. We specialize in blending local ingredients with international flavors, focusing on culinary innovation, balanced tastes, and aesthetic presentation. Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preparation and plating of both Chinese and Western dishes.
* Assist the Head Chef in developing new dishes and participating in menu design.
* Ensure consistent food quality and timely service.
* Strictly adhere to kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
* Manage ingredient inventory and assist with cost control.
* Work closely with the team and maintain effective communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Prior cooking experience in either Chinese or Western cuisine; ability to handle both is a strong advantage.
* Familiar with standard kitchen operations and capable of preparing dishes independently.
* A passion for culinary innovation and food presentation/plating.
* Ability to conduct basic communication in English.
* Be responsible, diligent, and possess strong teamwork skills.
* Possession of a Health Certificate or Chef Qualification is preferred; holding an Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is a bonus.
