Professional growth and development opportunities availableThe Opportunity:Reporting to the General Manager – Bulk, Visy is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our South Australia operations with a solid background in Warehouse & Fleet Management. Based at our site in Gillman, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning all customer deliveries daily and manage the discharge of inbound bulk vessels. You will have experience working in a demanding and fast paced environment where you can manage client expectations and deliver excellent service. Please note you must have prior working experience operating front end loaders.What you will do:Supervising the day-to-day operations of Visy Logistics at the Gillman site and, ensuring safe operations in accordance with policies and procedures.Overseeing discharges from port to warehouse and managing sub-contractors involved in the process.Ensure compliance with processes for efficient stock placement and site cleanliness.Managing and communicating with warehouse staff and truck drivers to ensure smooth operations.Assisting with staff rostering and training to support the dynamic workflow, including monitoring leave accruals and sick leave.Coordinating and planning all customer loading and deliveries on a daily basis.Supporting team in operating a front-end loader at times to manage stockpile and load hopper.Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with customers and Visy stakeholders.What You Will Bring:5 to 10+ years’ experience in a similar role within the local transport and warehouse operationsDemonstrated experience in a people management positionA strong understanding of fatigue management and mass managementSound knowledge and understanding of OH&S as well as experience in SAP, WMS & TMS systemsExperience operating front end loader, managing materials arriving on bulk vesselsDemonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environmentA continuous improvement mindset with good change management experienceAbility to build strong relationships external and internally as this will be crucial to the success of this roleWhat you’ll love when you join us:Sustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration.Career Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the companyYou will be required to meet Visy’s employment criteria which will include a criminal historycheck and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).Advertised: 26 May 2025 Cen.
