Program Background: The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform program is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and managed by DT Global. It provides Pacific Island Countries with a suite of flexible, fit‑for‑purpose options that support broad governance and stability development outcomes.
Services provided by the Partnerships Platform can include recruitment, procurement, grants, monitoring and evaluation, research and training, advisory support and program design and management. Partners identify the areas in which this support is required, including climate change, strengthening public financial management systems, infrastructure, governance, economic growth and social inclusion.

Reporting and Role
Reporting to the Development Effectiveness Specialist the Disability Equity Adviser will provide technical advice and direct support to assist the Partnerships Platform to address disability outcomes in aspects of program implementation, enabling inclusive and equitable outcomes of the Partnerships Platform programme.
Responsibilities
* Leveraging local networks to the extent possible, contribute to programmes' support to partner countries which progress reforms and policies that are more inclusive of persons with disabilities.
* Provide strategic advice, services and coordination to enable supported development activities, programmes, services and approaches to be more inclusive of persons with disabilities.
* Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to strengthen technical advisers' capabilities to both target and mainstream disability equity across their workplans in line with partner government priorities.
* Deliver disability equity training, mentoring, coaching and technical assistance activities to strengthen the Partnerships Platform's programme delivery and support DFAT posts.
Qualifications
* Background in international development, social work, psychology or a related field.
* Hands‑on experience in disability equity audits, training delivery and inclusive development especially within Pacific contexts.
* Ability to build institutional capacity and apply diverse capacity development approaches, making you a trusted adviser.
* Experience in or supporting small island developing states and passion for embedding disability inclusion into budgeting and broader development strategies.
