This role is ideal for an experienced professional, who enjoys being involved in all phases of a project, from design to installation.
Based in Osborne Park, our client is a Western Australian‐owned and operated multi‐disciplinary engineering contractor. They excel in electrical and controls design, switchboard manufacturing, control/SCADA systems, and electrical installations.
They deliver innovative design and construction projects across Western Australia, including borefields, water and wastewater treatment plants, chemical dosing, tanks, and pipelines. They have built a solid reputation for delivering innovative design and construction projects, on behalf of an impressive network of clients.
Due to consistent growth and newly awarded projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Control/SCADA Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, program, and commission Control Systems, PLCs (Siemens, Schneider), and Schneider GeoSCADA systems for infrastructure projects.
* Prepare SCADA designs, Profibus, ProfiNet, Communications Network and Radio/Satellite telecoms designs, including desktop surveys and propagation testing.
* Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and onsite commissioning across Western Australia, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards.
* Program and configure HMI's, RTU's and telecommunications equipment.
* Perform engineering studies, feasibility analyses, and technical audits to optimise control/SCADA systems.
* Produce high‐quality technical reports, operation manuals, and handover documentation.
Required Qualifications
* A Degree in Control Systems Engineering or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience with Control/SCADA Systems, with experience in Siemens and Schneider PLC programming and Schneider GeoSCADA development.
* Experience with PLC's, HMI, and telecommunications configuration (Fibre, ADSL, Cellular, IP, Radio Satellite, NBN).
* Proven ability to perform onsite commissioning and testing.
* Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, regulations, and national standards for water infrastructure.
* A current C Class Driver's Licence and availability to travel within WA for commissioning projects.
