In this role, you will perform various general ledger tasks, including journal preparation, reconciliation, and investigation. You will also ensure the prompt and accurate completion of leave movements and payroll related tasks, such as payroll journal preparation, payroll reports, and reconciliations. Additionally, you will provide processing support for fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, depreciation, and disposal, while collaborating with finance teams to identify and rectify outstanding ledger/payroll/fixed asset issues in a timely manner.
As a team-oriented team member or graduate accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with other team members and share information to achieve team objectives. You will also be encouraged to propose process, SOP, and system improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, as well as meet shared services performance levels for customer satisfaction, efficiency, and effectiveness.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, ideally one day based in the Burwood office, great team culture, and opportunities for growth and development. You must be an Australian citizen or Visa holder with a minimum of 12 months of full-time working hour rights and be immediately available to start. As the successful applicant, you will work on a contractor base daily rate, on short-term bases with a view to extension and even permanency.
