Improve the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities as a dedicated Practice and Community Nurse.
About the Role:
* A deep understanding of Aboriginal community-controlled health services and comprehensive primary healthcare is essential for this role.
* You will have an understanding of, and sensitivity to, the social, economic, and cultural factors affecting the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and comprehensive primary health services while ensuring these services are culturally respectful and tailored to the unique needs of the community.
This involves addressing immediate health concerns through effective treatments and preventative measures, fostering an environment of trust and understanding by integrating cultural beliefs and practices into patient care, and promoting holistic well-being, engaging in health education, and building collaborative relationships to support the community's overall health and wellness.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Nursing qualification
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
* Immunisation Endorsement or prepared to obtain an immunisation endorsement
* Minimum of 12 months post-graduation experience within a hospital or a primary health care setting
* Holding an Open C Driver's License
* Holding a Positive Blue Card
