We are seeking Junior Software Developers at the APS 5 level who will contribute to innovative capabilities within a government secure environment. In these roles, you will be develop and integrate software, documenting technical processes, and assisting with testing and deployment within a dynamic operational environment.
Your Duties Will Include
o Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software capability that meets business requirements.
o Escalate issues and seek advice from team leader or project manager in a timely manner.
o Document technical processes in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and promote bi-directional knowledge transfer within a team environment.
o Assist with automation capability for existing systems and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf software.
o Monitor systems and infrastructure; provide assistance with support requests to fix and troubleshoot issues.
o Implement and maintain automated testing. Provide feedback on implementation and design aspects as required from other areas
o Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures and produce documentation, including detailed design documentation, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Skills And Experience We Are Looking For
o Demonstrated competence in programming/software development
o Ability to provide specialist advice in your area of expertise
o Experience in systems design
o Proficiency in system software
o Competence in testing
o Skills in systems integration and build
