purpose
The role of Senior Integration Developer is to support the Business-as-Usual activities as well as develop new end to end business solutions from concept through to documentation, and including testing, training, implementation and support as it pertains to enterprise architecture integration.
In addition, the role also supports current interfaces using the EAI toolset and associate technologies. The role will monitor and track issues with production interfaces and ensure appropriate escalation of potential risks and solutions in line with best business practices.
Knowledge and skills
1. Systems thinking: diagnoses trends, obstacles and opportunities in the internal and external environment; understands the linkages between user requirements and traceable systems deliverables, conceptualises and defines the systems working within the organisation.
2. Working knowledge of HL7 / CDA messages and its related transformation.
3. Exposure / Understanding of system integration, infrastructure network and connectivity.
4. Project management: consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; provide input into project planning activities; risk identification and mitigation; provides key evaluation and resolution of issues and potential problems; monitors performance against objectives; to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met.
5. Organisational awareness: understands issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond; understands the reasons behind the organisational climate and culture.
6. Self-management: invites feedback on own behaviour and impact; uses new knowledge or information about self to build a broader understanding of own behaviour and the impact it has on others; understands strong emotional reactions and seeks ways to more effectively manage them.
7. Working knowledge of medical coding standards.( example ICD, LOINC, SNOMED CT, CPT Coding etc.)

Desirable Qualifications
12. A tertiary qualification with a significant ICT component, or an equivalent discipline, is desirable but not mandatory
13. Integrating technology certification Rhapsody Integration Engine toolset is highly desirable
14. Software Engineering certification (or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory
Specialist expertise
15. Minimum of 5 years technical integration health sector experience, including design, code, test, documentation, implement and support processes.
16. Knowledge of Java, web services, is desirable.
17. Knowledge of change management.
18. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of EAI integration tools and related technologies
19. Hands on experience with Rhapsody, Eclipse and NetBeans IDEs
20. Experience of implementations with Java, JavaScript, Dot net, including web service implementation and Web application servers such as Tomcat
21. Knowledge of SQL with database technologies such as Oracle
22. Experience in analysing data, architecting and documenting technical and solution is highly desirable.
23. Demonstrable experience with one or more Integration products in a HL7 environment
24. Knowledge of health sector interfaces is desirable.
25. Sound knowledge of healthcare applications and working experience with these applications in Victorian hospitals
26. Experience in My Health Records document loading is desirable.
27. Experience in the Victorian Public Health Sector is desirable.
28. Demonstrate on-call after hours support flexibility
29. Expertise in Rhapsody engine highly regarded
