We are seeking a temporary full time **Building and Facilities Coordinator **to lead the venues maintenance, facilities, and cleaning team. They will be responsible for delivering the hygiene, maintenance and replacement of building assets and equipment to ensure the venue is fully operational to support the very busy programming schedule of Riverside Theatres events and productions as well as overseeing and maintaining the venues WHS compliance.
**About the role**
The position of the Building and Facilities Coordinator is a full time (38 hour a week) temporary contract position for **up to 24 months**. The position includes flex time for standard hours worked over 38 hours and penalties for any required weekend or on call work above and beyond the standard hours.
The position is primarily responsible for:
- Coordinating and leading the building maintenance, facilities, and cleaning staff.
- Assist and support the Operations Manager to deliver building and facilities services internally and externally to optimize profitability, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance, compliance and replacement of building assets and equipment in accordance with current Work, Health and Safety requirements and any other standing statutory requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with external maintenance contractors, equipment hirers, council departments, and key stakeholders relating to the operations of Riverside Theatres.
- Contributing to developing, maintaining, and promoting Riverside Theatres as a centre of excellence in performing arts, events and exhibitions in Western Sydney region.
- Working as a key member of the Riverside Theatres WHS team to drive and represent the overall Work, Health and Safety presence in the workplace as well as in the Community Services directorate.
**About you**
It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have the following
**Experience**:
- Advanced building and facilities management expertise and experience including facilities coordination and asset maintenance and replacement.
- Experience in performing arts venues, exhibition spaces, hospitality or arts and creative industries is beneficial but not obligatory.
- Experience coordinating, rostering, and leading staff in a multi-task environment
- Advanced knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience and expertise in payroll, budget monitoring and general administration of the venue and facilities co-ordination.
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills including ability to maintain effective interpersonal and professional relationships with staff and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and all elements of Office 365 software.
- Advanced understanding of computerised Building Maintenance systems, asset and equipment compliance systems and WHS reporting systems.
**Qualifications**:
- Unrestricted drivers' licence and access to a car is crucial to this position as some duties and supply pickup is offsite.
Usage of personal vehicles is claimable with City of Parramatta council.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $95,482.75 to $105,148.44 inclusive of superannuation.
