The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position: Painter, Full time
Salary: $76,515 /per annum
Location: Queanbeyan NSW 2620
Key Responsibilities:
•Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
•Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
•Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
•Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture
•Select and prepare paints to require colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances
•Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
•Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of appropriate materials
•Operate and maintain high pressure low volume spray machines.
•Clean equipment and work areas
•Follow safety procedures and comply with workplace health and safety regulations
Requirements:
•Minimum 1 year of experience in painting or related trades
•Certificate III or IV in Painting and Decorating (preferred but not essential)
•Sound knowledge of painting tools, materials, and safety procedures
•Strong attention to detail and time management skills
•Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
•Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position
