We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Education Officer - Students in Care to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the child protection system and be able to provide specialist operational advice on the delivery of projects.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and implementing regional based program initiatives that maximise learning days and deliver meaningful pathways for Students in Care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic advice to assist in planning for the use of resources to facilitate the equitable delivery of services to Students in Care across the region.
* Developing and maintaining cross-agency partnerships to support the education needs of Students in Care.
The role requires a strong ability to promote and monitor programs and practices that effectively meet the needs of Students in Care, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, students with learning difficulties, students with disability, poor mental health and those who are geographically isolated.

Job Description
The Principal Education Officer - Students in Care will provide specialist operational advice to principals and senior officers on the delivery of projects, leading and implementing regional based program initiatives that are consistent with a state-wide model.
The role involves supporting the development and maintenance of cross-agency partnerships, including working collaboratively in relation to supporting the education needs of Students in Care.
The Student Protection Team is based at Hope Island, and the PEO will report to the Principal Advisor Student Protection.
