Exhibition Coordinator Role
The Australian National University's Drill Hall Gallery is a leading contemporary art space on campus.
The gallery has developed a proud tradition of showcasing impeccably presented landmark exhibitions accompanied by scholarly publications.
This role is responsible for the organisation, implementation, and curatorial input for the gallery's exhibitions.
Liaising with key stakeholders, curators, artists, art institutions, critics, transport and insurance agents ensures exhibitions run smoothly and maintain high museum standards.
Key responsibilities include organising and implementing exhibitions, liaising with key stakeholders, ensuring exhibitions meet high standards, managing the exhibition program, overseeing installation and de-installation within tight deadlines, and participating in review and development of policies.
Requirements for this role include excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team, and demonstrated experience in research and presentation of art works for display and maintenance.
A working knowledge of contemporary Australian art, cataloguing and art handling procedures to museum standards is essential.
