The Position
The Shire of Irwin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to undertake the role of Operations Maintenance Supervisor. This is a great position that will allow you to make your mark and to play a critical role within our organisation in the supervision of Building Infrastructure, Parks and Gardens and Town Maintenance teams to deliver quality services to our community with excellence in customer services.
The Operations Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Acting Manager Operations.
Key Accountabilities
1. Plan, organize, lead and control infrastructure and assets maintenance works for the Shire.
2. Supervision of building facilities, parks and gardens and town maintenance work teams to deliver the Shire’s objectives.
3. Facilitate a positive workplace environment and a culture that contributes effectively towards continuous improvement and key deliverables.
4. Develop budgets and work schedules to deliver quality maintenance on budget and within specified timelines;
5. Adhere to Work, Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and the Shire’s WHS Policies and procedures including reporting of all incidences.
6. Act as relief Acting Manager Operations as directed.
The position is classified at Level 8 within the Local Government Industry Award where an above award salary is negotiable dependent on experience commencing from $88,000.00 gross per annum plus superannuation plus allowances.

You are an experienced leader, preferably having worked within local government, possessing the technical ‘know how’ of managing asset maintenance and with an astute focus delivering quality services on time/within budget. Coupled with your track record of fostering harmonious and collaborative work cultures across the business you promote positive public relations and excellence in customer service to our community and the Shire of Irwin visitors.
