**The Position**

**St John of God Geelong Hospital **is proud to be Geelong's leading private hospital, serving the Barwon and south-west region of Victoria. To meet the needs of the people of Greater Geelong and the Western District, the hospital has expanded to 284 beds, with more than 400 accredited medical practitioners offering services that include maternity, cardiac, oncology, rehabilitation and emergency care.
- Our contemporary catering service is based on a dynamic 'Hotel Style' room service model. A rare opportunity is now available for experienced
- **Food service Assistants **to join the catering service in our great new, recently upgraded 'state of the art' kitchen.
- As Food Service Assistant will assist other members of the Food Services Department in providing a high quality product and service to all customers, i.e. patients, caregiver and others. This position is varied over a number of different shifts. Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service, clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services Department.
- Various Casual positions offering a variety of different shifts are on offer.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
- Food preparation experience.
- Understanding and Commitment to the Food Handler Agreement in accordance with Health Regulations
- Experience within food service environment.
- Ability to work as a team member with excellent work ethics.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work extra shifts or different shifts if required.
