MTC has partnered with a large company located in the South-West of Brisbane -Ipswich where you will join a great team as an Electronic Technician. In this role you will install new equipment, diagnose and repair electronics, troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and perform routine servicing and inspections. To be successful as an electronics technician, you should demonstrate strong mechanical skills and enjoy performing tasks with your hands. This will be a standalone position where you will hit the ground running.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining and repairing electronic components and systems
- Installation, commissioning and training of new equipment
- Provide post-installation troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair both virtually and on-site as required.
- Maintain inventory of equipment
- Management of service contract scheduling
**Experience and Skills**:
- Electronics Diploma is required or relevant experience
- Have a solid understanding around equipment workshop operation, with prior hands-on work experience in instrumentation, electronics service and maintenance with attention to detail.
- Understanding of Raspberry PI and the ability to solder would be advantageous
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, and other equipment necessary for repairs.
- Software, firmware and hardware experience
- Excellent IT/PC literacy skills, with basic networking across Windows and Linux environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Be customer focused and have a high attention to detail at all times
- A clear understanding of food safety protocols
- Quick learner who can adapt to change
