The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong industrial electrical and technical background. The role will focus on building and maintaining existing customer relationships while creating new business opportunities across Sydney and surrounding areas.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the objective is to meet or exceed territory sales targets across project‐related and day‐to‐day business in industries including Infrastructure, Utilities, Rail, Transport, Renewable Energy, Construction and Manufacturing.
Your customer base will include project, design and innovation teams; end users; systems integrators; electrical contractors; OEMs; and consultants.
This is an autonomous role requiring a large portion of your time in Sydney, with some regional and interstate travel as needed.
Duties (Key Responsibilities)
* Promote industrial products and solutions across the full suite of Colterlec product brands.
* Service, maintain and further develop existing accounts.
* Identify and secure new business through a targeted, strategic, and planned approach.
* Collaborate closely with the national Colterlec Product Managers team and supplier representatives.
* Coordinate product and application presentations, seminars, and training sessions with the Colterlec team.
* Collect market feedback to assist in strategic key account planning.
* Develop and implement effective sales plans for target accounts in the region.
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will have a proven record of developing new business within industrial end‐user, OEM, and complementary markets. You should be highly self‐motivated with a strategic, team‐focused approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and a professional attitude.
