Air Conditioning Mechanic

A well-established HVAC contractor working throughout Sydney is expanding and searching for a skilled and experienced Mechanic who takes real pride in high-quality workmanship. About the Opportunity

You'll be responsible for delivering a broad mix of domestic and commercial air conditioning solutions. We provide our customers with streamline services of assembling, installation, maintenance and repairs for air conditioning, ranging from straightforward residential installs to more complex commercial systems.

Key responsibilities include:

Ÿ Installing, assembling and commissioning split system, multi-head, ducted, VRV/VRF and commercial air conditioning systems in residential and commercial premises.

Ÿ Interpreting technical drawings, installation schematics and project specifications to determine system layout, pipe routing and equipment positioning.

Ÿ Measuring, cutting, bending and connecting AC refrigerant piping and ductwork in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian standards.

Ÿ Installing compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats and associated mechanical and electrical components.

Ÿ Testing systems for leaks by using pressure testing equipment and ensuring AC charging is carried out in compliance with environmental regulations.

Ÿ Diagnosing faults in air conditioning systems by using specialised testing equipment and performing necessary repairs or component replacements.

Ÿ Carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing of HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Ÿ Ensuring all installations comply with relevant Australian Building Codes, safety regulations and workplace health requirements.

Ÿ Liaising with supervisors, electricians and other trades to coordinate installation timelines and resolve on-site technical issues.

Ÿ Providing technical advice to clients regarding system operation, maintenance and energy efficiency.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

* holds an air conditioning trade qualification
* has relevant prior experience in a similar role within the industry
* shows reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
* is skilled at fault diagnosis and system testing
* has familiarity with refrigerant handling compliance and safe work practices
* has a current White Card and Australian driver's licence (manual preferred)
* is motivated to continue learning and developing technical skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities
