Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Plasma and Fibre Laser Technician to deliver customer support, machine training, and fault resolution for our expanding client base. The role involves remote troubleshooting, virtual training delivery, and periodic onsite visits for commissioning and hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct virtual training sessions for customers on MACRO CNC Plasma and Fiber Laser systems, including software and machine operation.
* Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues via remote support or onsite intervention.
* Undertake onsite training and commissioning visits approximately every two weeks across Australia.
* Provide proactive maintenance advice, performance checks, and optimisation recommendations.
* Document service activities, client feedback, and training outcomes for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with MACRO's service and sales teams to enhance customer experience and machine uptime.
Requirements
* Proven experience operating, maintaining, or supporting CNC Plasma and Laser cutting systems (experience with oxy-fuel cutting is advantageous).
* Minimum 1+ years of experience working with CNC Plasma and Laser cutting systems required.
* Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software components
* Familiarity with FastCAM, Optimum, or equivalent CNC software packages (training provided if needed).
* Excellent communication skills for both virtual and in-person training delivery.
* Willingness to travel interstate approximately fortnightly (company vehicle provided).
* Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused with strong problem-solving capability.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
