400 Gradi Mornington is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team and support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. This is an exciting Full-time opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of rostering, ordering, and running the kitchen when the Head Chef is not on site.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation, and a genuine passion for food. Italian cuisine knowledge is highly regarded, but not essential.

Required

* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Sous Chef in restaurants
* Strong knowledge of rostering, ordering, and stock control
* Full working rights in Australia
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Ability to manage and lead a team in the Head Chef's absence

Salary : $75,000 – $80,000 + super (based on experience)

Location: Mornington, VIC.

As a Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for:

* Leading and mentoring the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef
* Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes with consistency
* Managing rosters, stock, and supplier orders
* Maintaining kitchen standards and ensuring compliance with food safety requirements
* Supporting a positive and collaborative work environment
