Maker Consulting Services are growing our Planning team
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Town Planner to work on a broad range of projects from inception to delivery and beyond.
Working closely with the Director of Planning, this is an excellent opportunity to further grow your career.
Maker CS is a fast growing and highly regarded employee-owned Civil Engineering, Surveying and Town Planning firm employing over 60 people in 4 offices.
We work on a diverse range of projects, encompassing both statutory and strategic planning and more.

THE ROLE
Working under the direction of our Director of Planning, you will:
Prepare a range of different planning related documents including general and due diligence advice, statements of environmental effects, scoping reports, environmental impact statements and planning proposals in accordance with the relevant legislation and state and local policies.
Interpret and apply the relevant legislation/ policy application to projects, leveraging your strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Liaise with clients, authorities and other team members to ensure high quality outcomes.
Assist the Director of Planning where necessary, including during NSW LEC appeals.
Assist with project management tasks, including the preparation of fee proposals and client invoices.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone who has:
A tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline.
1-3 years' experience as a Town Planner, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the NSW planning system.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail.
Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
The ability to work autonomously, and as part of a dynamic and very busy team.
