The Role

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the technical coordination and execution of projects, ensuring that engineering solutions meet both client requirements and industry standards. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality. The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in problem‑solving, risk management, and resource coordination while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Additionally, the role supports the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and design reviews.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of engineering projects, including design reviews, compliance with standards, scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking.
* Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring safe, high‑quality project execution through collaboration with design teams, project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
* Communicate project progress, technical updates, and any challenges to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
* Support procurement, prepare and review technical documentation, and manage engineering change requests to maintain project accuracy and integrity.
* Participate in site inspections, testing, commissioning, and site campaign debriefs, and prepare detailed site work packs to ensure clear, efficient on‑site operations.


Qualifications & Experience

* A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering (essential).
* Experience in mechanical engineering; hydraulics experience highly desirable.
* Skills in SolidWorks or AutoCAD and familiarity with project management and engineering design tools.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and safety/compliance requirements.
* Proven problem‑solving ability and experience troubleshooting technical issues.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience preparing technical documentation and managing multiple projects.
* Professional engineering or project management certifications (advantageous).
