With our office conveniently located in the heart of North Fremantle, this is a tremendous opportunity to join a supportive team and operate in an inclusive work environment in close proximity to café's, public transport, and the picturesque surrounds of Fremantle.

The opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate, experienced and suitably qualified people to join our team of Behaviour Support Practitioners on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering:

* A safe, caring and supportive environment for people to discuss their concerns and actively participate in the positive behaviour support process;
* Thorough and personalised functional behaviour assessments and comprehensive behaviour support plans in a timely manner;
* Practical strategies to positively influence behaviour change and deliver improved quality of life outcomes;
* Services in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures including actions to continuously improve such processes;
* Resources and training to a broad cross section of stakeholders including support workers, families, and carers;
* Timely and professional response to behavioural incidents in accordance with industry standards and company policy including safeguarding obligations.

To be successful in this role you will need:

* Registration with NDIS as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient level or above;
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, education or associated field;
* Extensive knowledge of positive behaviour support including the legislative framework and providing support from a social model of disability;
* A proven track record of working from a systems perspective to empower families and carers;
* Relevant clearances and certificates to work in the NDIS field.
