This is a golden opportunity to become the second Australian employee to join a European multinational business with offices in 8 countries and annual revenue of $160 million AUD. The newly created role of 'Service and After Sales Manager' will be reporting to the General Manager of Australia as the market penetration gains momentum. Although there are already plenty of existing customers in Australia, this is the first time we have offered dedicated technical aftermarket support based here. This is a deliberate strategic decision, made by HQ in Germany, to focus on the Australian market by providing direct support to customers here, rather than relying on distributors alone. This will not only improve our supply chain; your work will ensure our customer experience evolves beyond what our customers in this region have seen before. You will be a welcome trusted advisor by customers nationwide.
**Context**:
Regardless of whether our customers are optimizing an existing plant or developing a new one - we supply the efficient, reliable and economical high-performance blowers and compressors for them.
**The Role**:
As the 'Service and After Sales Manager' you will be the face of the company and after sales service and technical support. We are looking to invest in your training, you will fly to Germany to be inducted into the business, which will equip you with the product knowledge to be disseminated to customers in Australia.
The role responsibilities are focused on two areas:
- 1) Maintenance:
- Independent execution of assembly orders in Australia and
- On-site or remote electrical and mechanical commissioning of fans
- Mechanical connection and installation of peripherals
- Parametrization of drive control
- Execution of electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance work, such as maintenance of electric motors
- Assembly and alignment of fans
- Commissioning of measurement sections and sensors
- Vibration measurement and monitoring
- On-site wheel balancing
- 2) Spare parts:
- Commercial and technical processing of spare parts inquiries and orders in close contact with HQ
- Processing of service and after sales inquiries, creating offers, and order processing in the SAP and CRM systems
- Identification of spare parts for current and older equipment based on bills of materials, drawings, or commercial documents
- Determining spare part requirements for planned service interventions at the customer's site
- Creation of plant-specific offers for spare part packages and pricing
- Customer consultation and follow-up on offers
- Internal collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, and design departments
**Success profile**:
- Strong customer and service orientation
- Willingness to travel
- Experience with equipment assembly / commissioning or maintenance and servicing
- Knowledge of materials management and master data maintenance
- Professional experience in spare parts sales for industrial equipment
A technical background in mechatronics or industrial electronics; or comparable field is critical. We are seeking familiarity with as many of the following: drive technology, power electronics, measurement and control technology, sensors, hydraulics, or oil supply technology.

- Knowledge of / Experience with industrial welding
- Experience with SAP S/4 (SD and MM)
- Experience working with CRM systems such as C4C or Salesforce
- Commercial experience with contract management
