Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel's capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
* Procurement: Lead a portfolio of procurement programs across landside operations and services, ensuring delivery against operational, safety, and commercial requirements. Report on progress to senior colleagues while driving improvements to procurement processes and systems, specific to the Landside portfolio.
* Pricing and Terms Negotiation: Manage and deliver complex pricing and terms negotiations with external strategic partners, suppliers, and contractors. Secure commercially robust outcomes that align with Perth Airport's landside strategy and governance requirements.
* Contract Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of a portfolio of contracts relating to Landside infrastructure and services. Negotiate service-level agreements, supervise contract delivery, and ensure outcomes are achieved in line with Perth Airport's contract management plan.
* Supplier Management: Monitor, assess, and review the performance of key suppliers supporting landside operations. Identify and address gaps, implement corrective measures, and renegotiate terms or supplier arrangements to maintain service reliability and value.
* Contract Requirements: Define and develop contract requirements and specifications for Landside projects and services. Ensure documentation reflects operational needs, compliance requirements, and Perth Airport's commercial objectives.
* Budgeting: Develop and oversee budgets for landside commercial and contract management activities. Conduct detailed analyses, report variances, and ensure financial performance aligns with Perth Airport's governance standards.
* Leadership and Direction: Translate Perth Airport's landside commercial strategy into clear objectives. Provide leadership, communicate priorities, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional outcomes in support of the airport's strategy.
* Performance Management: Establish, monitor, and manage performance objectives for team members. Provide regular feedback, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Organisational Capability Building: Build capability in Landside procurement, supplier management, and contract administration. Mentor and coach colleagues, share expertise, and strengthen organisational capability to deliver sustainable commercial success.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) combined with over 10 years relevant experience
