Grow your paediatric speech pathology career and support educators through the delivery of the Allied Health School Readiness Funding (SRF). Enjoy a supportive Paediatric Allied Health team (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology) in a slower-paced regional setting.
5 weeks annual leave and rostered days off (RDO). Paid parental leave (14 weeks). $1,500 remote office setup allowance, in addition to standard home office equipment. The Allied Health Clinician (Paediatric Speech Pathologist) position sits within the School Readiness Allied Health team, providing paediatric allied health capacity-building support to early childhood education and care services within Shepparton and the broader Goulburn region.
Note: This role supports kindergarten educators and families to build capacity around wellbeing, communication and inclusion, with coaching, modelling, group training, case consultations and other discipline-specific services.
The role is supported through collaboration with a broader paediatric allied health team including Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists.
Responsibilities
* YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
* Purposefully engage kindergarten educators to identify and support skill development of children as they prepare for school.
* Provide secondary consultation to kindergartens via coaching across multiple platforms (in person, telehealth, email, phone, etc.).
* Undertake discipline-specific tasks such as providing information on expressive, receptive and pragmatic language development, speech sound development, engagement in book sharing and early literacy activities.
* Work collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to provide a high-quality multi-disciplinary service.
* Effectively manage a caseload through appointment organization, handover of services for discipline-specific support, and/or joint delivery of sessions.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to maximise service coordination and cooperation.

* A graduate or post-graduate degree in Speech Pathology.
* Experience working in paediatric allied health settings, with experience working in kindergarten settings an advantage.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the goals and desired outcomes for children, families and educators.
* An openness to working in a capability-building and coaching role with educators and families to promote skills and knowledge of child development.
