We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to support our construction team in Southern Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the effective management of commercial construction projects. They will work closely with project managers to ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and all processes run smoothly.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Project Management & Administration: Manage project documents, update project progress, and assist in the management of subcontracts and variations.
* Financial Oversight: Support cash flow management by preparing cost reports, forecasts, and processing invoices.
* Communication & Collaboration: Collect, submit, and distribute RFI documents, take meeting minutes, and liaise with subcontractors and clients to ensure effective communication and positive relationships.
* Safety & Quality: Contribute to creating a safe working environment, conduct EHSQ audits, and monitor the quality of work to ensure high standards are met.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of the project delivery system and contribute to the team's success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the commercial construction industry.
* Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Building and Construction.
* Basic knowledge of head contracts and subcontracts.
* Experience with industry-specific software such as Procore will be highly regarded.
* The ability to interpret specifications and drawings for accuracy.
