Location: Solomon - Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: (Floating - in line with scheduled shutdowns) 8D6R FIFO ex. Perth
The Maintenance Technician role reports directly to the OPF Central Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with repairing, maintaining and improving systems and equipment to safely deliver world class availability and reliability operational processing plants at Solomon and Eliwana.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain all assets to operational capacity whilst consistently striving to increase process efficiency.
* Demonstrate behaviours that align with the Fortescue values.
* Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis.
* The ability to follow processes and procedures.
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to team goals and supporting colleagues.
* Precision component replacements during shutdowns and weekly maintenance (e.g., gearbox, conveyor brake MMD sizers, conveyor pulleys).
Qualifications And Experience
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Mechanical Fitter.
* Experience working within a Fixed Plant (dry and wet plant) processing environment.
* Familiarity and background in working with pumps.
* Problem solving and analytical skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Current White Card.
