Impact you will have in this role
Access Industries is seeking a strategic and commercially astute General Manager, People & Culture to lead the organisation's people strategy through a critical period of transformation and stabilisation.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this role will shape the People and Culture function to enable workforce capability, while leading significant organisational change, strengthening leadership capability, and embedding a high‐performing, inclusive culture across the organisation.

* Lead the development and execution of a contemporary People and Culture strategy aligned to organisational priorities during a period of transformation
* Drive organisation‐wide change and culture transformation, supporting leaders through complexity and growth
* Build and embed core People and Culture frameworks across the employee lifecycle from the ground up
* Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to strengthen workforce capability and performance
* Full time, permanent role based in Seven Hills, Sydney, NSW
As General Manager, People & Culture, you will lead all aspects of the people function, including workforce strategy, organisational design, leadership development, culture, industrial relations, compliance, and safety. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring people strategies enable both commercial performance and meaningful social impact, while guiding the organisation through transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of the organisation's People and Culture strategy aligned to the strategic plan
* Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on workforce, culture, and organisational design
* Drive workforce planning and capability frameworks to ensure long‐term sustainability
* Lead organisation‐wide change initiatives, supporting leaders to manage complexity and build accountability
* Oversee the development of a strong, values‐aligned and inclusive organisational culture
* Build and embed end‐to‐end People and Culture frameworks across talent, performance, development, and retention
* Ensure robust compliance with employment legislation, industrial relations, and WHS, including psychosocial safety
* Establish and maintain strong governance, risk management, and people‐related compliance frameworks
* Lead the modernisation of People and Culture systems and digital capability
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high‐performing People and Culture team through a period of change
About You
You are a commercially astute and values‐led People and Culture executive who thrives in complex environments, evolving environments, brings a strategic and action‐oriented approach, and leads with integrity, clarity, and accountability.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Proven ability to develop and deliver People and Culture strategies that support organisational performance and transformation
* Strong ability to balance commercial outcomes with employee experience, inclusion, and social impact
* Experience leading organisation‐wide change and cultural transformation initiatives
* Deep knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and WHS, including psychosocial safety
* Experience building foundational People and Culture frameworks and systems across the employee lifecycle
* Ability to influence and support senior leaders through complex people‐related challenges
* Confidence engaging with executives, employees, and external stakeholders
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with clarity and empathy
* A collaborative leader who builds trust, accountability, and shared ownership across the organisation
You will bring significant senior leadership experience in People and Culture. Experience in community services, disability, manufacturing, or complex operational environments is highly regarded.
