About You
Hold a Certificate IV in Disabilities, Community Services or similar (or be studying towards a qualification in youth work).
Experience in the Disability sector (or similar) with transferrable skills to start your career in youth work.
Australian Drivers Licence (P2 or higher).
Blue card & Yellow card.
Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required.

About the Position
As a casual Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living in out-of-home care. Working with some of Australia's best youth service providers, every day grants you a unique experience and adventure, empowering children and young people to live their best lives, in a nurturing and safe environment.
Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment. We also have emergency and ad hoc shifts available each week.
* Establish a secure and nurturing home environment for at‐risk young people.
* Offer guidance and support with personal care requirements including meal assistance and hygiene routines.
* Provide transportation for school, appointments and community activities.
* Foster the development of skills and socialisation within the local community, alongside promoting positive pro-social peer interactions.
* Support in the administration of medications and associated reporting requirements for children on Child Protection orders.
* Provide trauma‐informed care to young people who display complex behavioural issues and traumatic backgrounds.
* Engage in the Trauma Recovery practice framework and undertake Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within the first three months of your employment.
