Gardening Care & Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Gardening Care & Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our community-focused environment, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our large-scale gardens, grounds, and amenities.
Job Description
* Maintain and enhance large-scale gardens, grounds, and amenities to ensure they are always in excellent condition.
* Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across the site, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and operational.
* Supervise contractors and team members reporting directly to you, providing guidance and support as needed.
* E nsure safety compliance and uphold high operational standards at all times.
* B uild strong, respectful relationships with homeowners, communicating effectively and providing excellent customer service.
* M anage community security and operational budgets efficiently, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing changes where necessary.
* P articipate in regular meetings and complete required reporting, staying up-to-date on community news and initiatives.
About You
* You have proven experience in managing large, scaled gardens and grounds, as well as general maintenance and amenity cleaning.
* You have a background in caretaking or maintenance within lifestyle communities, retirement living, schools, or hotels/resorts.
* You possess strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engaging with people.
* You have experience in team supervision and contractor coordination.
* You are skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
* You hold an ACDC licence for weed spraying (or are willing to obtain).
* You have basic computer proficiency and a current First Aid certificate.
* You hold a full driver's licence and own transport to/from work (a work ute will be provided during working hours).
