The role
ALS Geochemistry in Malaga is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join our Spectroscopy team, which is committed to exceeding customer expectations by delivering high-quality results on time.
This is a full-time position, where you will be primarily responsible for the operation and calibration of ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.
The role will initially be on day shift during the training period; however, the successful candidate is expected to be available for a weekly rotating roster that includes day and afternoon shifts, as well as occasional weekend work.
The day to day:
The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties, including the following:
* Analysis of samples using ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.
* Perform instrument/equipment calibration and maintenance as required
* Troubleshooting of instrument and quality issues
* Ensuring that client turnaround times are met
* Once training is complete, be able to work autonomously
* Other duties as the role progresses
