**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sourcing and Procurement**: Identify, negotiate, and secure high-quality fresh fruits and vegetables from reliable suppliers while ensuring cost efficiency.
- **Supplier Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product availability and favorable pricing.
- **Inventory Control**: Monitor stock levels and purchasing trends to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste.
- **Market Research**: Stay updated on market trends, seasonal availability, and competitor pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- **Budgeting and Cost Management**: Work within budget constraints to maximize profitability while maintaining product quality.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure all purchased products meet industry standards and company quality requirements.
- **Sales and Promotions Support**: Collaborate with the sales team to align purchasing strategies with customer demand and promotional activities.
**To Be Successful, You Will Have**:
- A Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in the fresh produce or grocery industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of market trends, seasonal produce, and wholesale pricing.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
