We are seeking an employee who is passionate about volunteer training and assessment. You will deliver training and assessment for St John endorsed courses to country Volunteers and on occasions Country Transport Officers, to develop confident and competent operational volunteers and transport officers for the Northam region of WA.This is a Full-Time position 37.5 hours a week.
Key outcomes for a Regional Training Facilitator:
* To deliver training and assessment to volunteers and paid clinical staff (Transport Officers) within the region to required quality standards
* Deliver training to allow volunteers and Country Transport Officers in the Wheatbelt region to attain and maintain an adequate level of skills to enable them to perform their designated scope of practice
* Deliver training that is consistent and accurate using approved training packages designed by the Clinical Education Department
* Complete course reports as required to measure effectiveness of the training activity and outcomes
* Assist the Regional Training and Development Coordinator (RTDC) to plan and coordinate efficient and effective delivery of training and development to volunteers and paid clinical staff (Transport Officers) within the region
* Assist with the maintenance of training equipment
* Support Volunteer Development Officers (VDOs) to ensure training is conducted effectively to attain required outcomes
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications and aptitudes:
* Clinical knowledge to at least Provide First Aid level is desirable
* Experience working with volunteers and or volunteer organisations
* Previous experience working in the education sector is preferred
* Flexibility in relation to days worked to meet training requirements
* Ability to travel to various Wheatbelt regional locations to deliver training/assessment
* Existing volunteer with St John WA desirable
