Negotiable pending skills and experience
This is a brand-led, founder-backed business that’s made a name for itself by turning technical products into everyday essentials. Known for quality, reliability and strong customer loyalty, they’ve built a national presence across online and physical retail and continue to grow at pace. With manufacturing partnerships offshore, a strong product roadmap, and a clear expansion strategy in place, this business has already done the hard work of building solid systems, inventory controls and forecasting models. The next step is financial leadership, bringing clarity to cashflow, structure to reporting and insight to decision-making as the business scales.
The Role
This is a true end-to-end Head of Finance role. You’ll inherit a clean, functional finance operation that’s already migrated to NetSuite, with fast month-end reporting and a capable team in place. The job now is to elevate and integrate — to bring cashflow forecasting, commercial insight, and strategic reporting to the centre of the business.
Working directly with the COO and CEO, you’ll provide the clarity, modelling, and partnership that supports confident decision-making across product, procurement, inventory, and growth. Your key responsibilities will include:-
Lead all budgeting, forecasting, cashflow modelling and financial analysis
Build open, transparent financial models to guide purchasing, supply chain, and working capital decisions
Own the relationship with the bank and support future funding or investment processes
Prepare board packs, financial commentary and scenario modelling to support leadership and shareholders
Oversee statutory reporting, audits and ensure compliance with financial standards
Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, controls, and reporting tools
Partner with functional leaders across Product, Inventory, Retail, Supply Chain and HR
Mentor and manage a lean, capable finance team including a Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant
Contribute to a finance culture that is collaborative, commercial and embedded across the business
About You
You’re not just technically strong — you think commercially and thrive in fast-paced, product-led businesses. You’ve worked in environments where inventory, procurement, and forecasting all impact the bottom line, and you know how to bring structure and clarity without slowing things down. You know when to hold the line, when to influence, and when to roll up your sleeves.
