About The Role
This is a hands-on position involving all aspects of landscaping and general labor. The work is varied, covers diverse projects, and requires physical fitness and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* General site preparation and clean-up.
* Assisting with planting, weeding, pruning, and lawn maintenance.
* Concreting and Paving: Assisting with the preparation and execution of hardscaping elements (laying pavers, basic concreting, boxing, etc.).
* Operating various landscaping tools and equipment.
* Moving materials and assisting skilled tradespeople.
* Ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality on all job sites.
Required Criteria
You must meet the following criteria to be considered for this role:
* Valid Driver's Licence and Own Reliable Vehicle: Essential for travel to and from various job sites.
* Willingness to Obtain: Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a satisfactory Police Check (or willingness to obtain both upon successful interview).
* Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence: Highly preferred for transporting materials and equipment.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
While not mandatory, candidates possessing the following will be highly regarded:
* Formal Qualification: Certificate III in Landscaping or Horticulture (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: Proven experience in a landscaping, horticulture, laboring, or construction environment, particularly with concreting and paving tasks.
