If you're an experienced video editor who wants to spend your days making work you're proud of alongside a supportive, down-to-earth team, this role could be a great fit.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys crafting polished, professional edits, working with clear briefs, and being part of a small, experienced team that values quality, collaboration, and a sustainable pace of work. You'll have the space to focus on editing, variety in the projects you work on, and the support of people who understand production and respect the edit process.
You'll be joining on an initial 3-month contract, with a clear pathway to a full-time permanent role if it works well for both sides.
About the Role
You'll work closely with our Senior Editor (Post Lead), Producer, and Founder to deliver high-quality edits across a wide range of projects — including corporate, brand, and advertising content for organisations across Australia.
3–4 days per week | 3-month contract (with view to permanent)
Remote / Hybrid – Open to applicants Australia-wide
Your core focus will be:
* Editing corporate, brand, and advertising videos
* Creating strong first-pass edits and refining content through feedback
* Producing social cut-downs and alternate versions
* Creating content that has clear 'hooks' to get viewers interested early on
* Cleaning up pacing, audio, and colour grading
* Managing timelines, exports, and delivery specs
* Helping keep projects moving smoothly during busy periods
Occasionally, you may also:
* Attend a shoot to assist the team on the day
* Help with simple on-site tasks or quick turnaround edits when useful
These moments are occasional and supportive in nature — the role remains firmly editor-first, with editing always the priority.
Who This Role Is For
This role will suit someone who:
* Has solid professional editing experience (agency, production company, or high-level freelance)
* Is comfortable working independently once briefed, without constant hand-holding
* Understands the tone and expectations of corporate and brand clients
* Enjoys editing efficiently and consistently, without unnecessary churn
* Values being part of a small, friendly, experienced team
This role can be done from anywhere in Australia, provided you have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
If you're based in or near Brisbane, there are also opportunities for occasional in-person collaboration with the team but this is not a requirement.
Tools & Workflow
* Most offline editing is done in Adobe Premiere Pro
* Some finishing, colour work, or review may happen in DaVinci Resolve
* Clear file management, versioning, and export discipline are important
* We provide a high-spec MacBook Pro and SSDs for work use
* We cover a percentage of your home internet use
* Remote-first setup, with clear processes and support
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
* Still photography editing (Lightroom / Photoshop)
* Motion graphics or After Effects
* Strong sound editing or audio clean-up skills
Contract & Pay Details
* Initial term: 3 months
* Time commitment:
* 4 full days per week, or
* 5–6 hours per day across 5 days
* Pay:
This role is benchmarked at a $70,000–$80,000 full-time equivalent salary plus super.
For the initial 3-month contract period, this equates to roughly $17,500–$20,000 plus super for the 3 months, depending on agreed days and hours.
* Start: As soon as possible
If the contract goes well, the intention is to move to a full-time permanent role, with flexibility around working hours where possible (for example, school pick-ups with work able to be completed later in the day where appropriate).
