IT Desktop Support (Lvl 2) - 3 Month Contract Day Rate
Our client, a national Not-For-Profit in the education sector have engaged us to find a short term IT Support person for their desktop & end user compute help desk. This contract role, reporting to the IT Services Manager, will support users in approx. 20 sites nationally in a help desk capacity with a further 10 supported in a face to face traditional desk top support capacity (approx. 30% travel in South East QLD). The environment is almost exclusively Microsoft, candidates with SharePoint experience will be highly regarded.
What will your day to day to look like?
Provide guidance to staff on IT best practice and tools.
Manage information technology and computer systems, including Microsoft and Apple platforms.
Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures.
Adhere to data quality standards to maintain a high level of data integrity.
Triage and resolve IT issues and elevate them appropriately.
Support the professional enquiry of staff.
Interface with stake holders regarding service offerings, and onboarding processes.
Support the IT Services Manager to continuously evaluate IT and operations efficiency, processes, services, and technology effectiveness and interoperability to identify focus areas for improvement.
Provide advice to enhance outcomes and streamline processes.
Engage in continual service improvement of the IT Services team's delivery.
Recommend new technologies and solutions to improve IT efficiency and effectiveness.
Contribute to the delivery of IT service strategy so that it is aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Utilise data analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in local IT services processes and outcomes.
What would your experience look like?
Experience in an MS Cloud/OnPrem Environment resolving Level 1-2 tickets
Experience with SharePoint - Highly Desirable (understand not manage)
Strong communication, you will spend a third of your time on site and as such a drivers licences is essential
Ability to gain or already have a Blue Card (Working safe with children card)
