Job Description
We are advertising on behalf of our client \"Waterfront Tavern\" Position: Chef Location: Shell Cove NSW 2529 Salary: $76,000 - $78,000 plus Superannuation Our client 'Waterfront Tavern' is looking for a Chef to join their growing kitchen team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Work with Head Chef to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly
* Maintain a positive, and professional approach with colleagues & clients at all times
* Arrive to your shifts promptly & sign on and off for shifts and breaks consistently
* Ensure that procedures set by Head Chef run in a professional and timely manner
* Rectify any issues arise in a professional manner
* Take direction from Head Chef and comply with company procedures
* Meet industry food and safety requirements and ensure kitchen is neat and tidy at all times
* Adhere to high quality food presentation standards
* Ensure meals are consistent
* Assist with monitoring equipment to ensure it is up to standard including serving items and safety concerns
* Assist with teaching and guiding junior kitchen staff.
* Determining food inventory needs, ordering and stocking
* Prepare and cook food based on recipe guidelines

* Prior experience in a similar role/setting
* Excellent communication skills
* Passion for cooking
