Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced legal counsel to join our construction team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the bid-winning and tendering process for various construction and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Leading the upstream bidding phase, including supply chain and procurement arrangements
* Managing transport, defence, and energy projects (including renewables/new energy)
* Ensuring consistent profitability in a contractor-hostile climate
* Collaborating with the GC, commercial managers, and executive to achieve project delivery goals
Requirements
* 6-10 years of post-acquisition experience as a legal counsel or senior legal counsel
* Demonstrable front-end experience in bidding and work-winning for infrastructure, engineering, and construction projects
* Additional experience in the post-award project delivery phase is highly regarded
* In-house experience or exposure to in-house through a solid secondment is ideal
* Coming out of a respected construction practice with a contractor focus is also suitable
