Faculty of Science Full-time permanent position Base salary will be in the range $113,377.67 - $127,112.24 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Executive Officer with a passion for supporting senior leadership and driving organisational success to join the Faculty of Science. In this role, you will provide high-level executive support to the Executive Dean, contributing to strategic and operational priorities of the Faculty, the University, and its external partners. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based advice, preparing high-quality documentation, managing and responding to complex correspondence, overseeing key projects, and supporting the Executive Dean’s team. You will also lead and mentor a small team of executive support staff, ensuring cohesive and effective service delivery. This position reports to the Executive Manager, Faculty of Science. Key responsibilities will include: Conduct research and data analysis to provide strategic, policy, and administrative advice to support the Executive Dean’s decision-making. Draft and refine high-quality documentation for a range of audiences, including internal, national, and international stakeholders. Triage correspondence, propose actions, and draft responses on behalf of the Executive Dean. Support strategic and operational projects by tracking progress, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring key milestones are met. Lead and mentor a small team of Executive Assistants and Support Officers to ensure effective service delivery. Coordinate and support meetings, committees, and engagement activities, including minute-taking and stakeholder liaison. Collaborate with key staff including the Faculty Executive Manager and Finance Team to assist with budget preparation and implementation. Develop and improve administrative systems, processes, and document management practices in line with best practices.
