The Role MQ Health is seeking a Medical Oncologist to provide high-quality clinical assessment, management and consultation, and oversee part of our phase 1 clinical trial portfolio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: Be a Principal Investigator on Phase I to IV clinical trials Work alongside other medical oncologists and cancer specialists, including a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Be actively engaged with the overall activity of the Clinical Trials Unit. Collaborate with groups across MQ Health to participate in research projects Be exposed to a wide range of cancer cases Supervise and train students, registrars and other Doctors in Training Contribute to educational activities with MQ Health About You You will be a qualified Medical Oncologist with a passion for clinical trials and extensive experience as an investigator on phase I trials. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and a proven commitment to education and research. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent time management skills. Demonstrated experience in Oncology, including highly developed skills in clinical trials. Demonstrate experience in genitourinary cancers Completion or near completion of a PhD or equivalent in a relevant area. Demonstrated understanding of the patients’ perspective and ability to communicate key information to the patient and carers. Demonstrated interest and aptitude for one or more of the following activities: supervision of students; or delivery of educational activities; or research. Demonstrated high level understanding of the discipline including major international trends, recent developments and improvements. A strong commitment to multidisciplinary approaches to clinical care and ability to work as part of a team.
