ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
Providing high-quality customer service to the community of Singleton through the delivery of quality Long Day Care Services, key responsibilities for theChildcare Educator – Certificate IIIinclude:
Help plan, implement, and evaluate child-centric programs that are developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse, integrating the Early Years Learning Framework.
Support children's learning by modelling play-based environments, participating in curriculum discussions, and suggesting changes.
Implement the service's philosophy in teaching and behaviour guidance, adapting as needed.
Ensure daily care routines are learning opportunities, employing intentional teaching strategies, and using evaluations for future planning.
Essential to this role is a Certificate III in Children's Services, or equivalent, or working towards achieving this qualification, a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate, including anaphylaxis and asthma training, previous experience in the care of children aged 0-5 and knowledge of curriculum and legislative frameworks.
This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-time basis working 38 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 7 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of$**** - $**** per fortnightplus superannuation.
