We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Advisor to join our Information and Technology Branch.
About the VEC
At the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) we are not just about elections, we are about enabling all Victorians to actively participate in their democracy. The VEC conducts State and local council elections and is responsible for promoting public awareness and understanding of electoral issues in the Victorian community.

About the role
1. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Business Advisor, IT will support all aspects of branch operations, including:
2. Providing analysis and advice relating to budget, vendors, emerging issues, policy, legislation, processes, and trends
3. Developing proposals, documents, reports, and presentations
4. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
5. Providing governance and secretariat support to the CIO and for relevant internal VEC committees, external stakeholder relationships and governance meetings
What you'll bring to the role
6. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
7. Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple tasks simultaneously in a time critical environment
8. High level analytical, conceptual, problem-solving skills including understanding of budget and vendor management, as well as complex legislation
9. Demonstrated continuous improvement focus in developing action plans, processes, procedures and documentation
10. Commitment to the VEC's core values
