Dugald River mine is among the top 10 zinc mine operations globally, producing zinc concentrate for international customers since 2017.
The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023, the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine's power and reducing emissions by 33%, marking the start of its renewable energy transition.
Dugald River employs around 800 staff and contractors, utilizing fly-in, fly-out, and local residential work arrangements.
Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Reporting to the Manager – Human Resources & Training, this role provides strategic and operational HR support at Dugald River Mine. The position works closely with site leadership to implement HR initiatives aligned with business goals and operational needs.
This opportunity suits a confident, collaborative HR professional experienced in managing employee relations, engaging diverse workforces, and involved in all aspects of generalist HR.
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employee/Industrial Relations, or related fields, with relevant operational HR experience.
* Strong understanding of HR principles, including performance management and workforce planning.
* Knowledge of industrial relations frameworks, legislation, and experience with Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
* Ability to work independently and proactively.
This is a permanent position with an 8/6 or 4/3 roster, with flexible working options considered. Transport options include:
* Daily Bus in Bus out (BIBO) from Cloncurry.
* Drive in Drive out (DIDO) from Mount Isa.
* Fly in Fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to support effective HR service delivery.
* Providing advice and training to leaders on HR systems and processes, including workforce management and employee relations.
* Managing employee grievances and disciplinary matters, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair outcomes.
* Supporting performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
* Contributing to HR projects such as diversity & inclusion, change management, and employee engagement.
* Assisting with performance reviews, remuneration, workforce budgeting, and cost planning.
* Collaborating with HR teams across Dugald River, Rosebery, and MMG Group Office for alignment and knowledge sharing.
